A black eye basically refers to a bruise around the eye that results due to an injury or a tissue damage. The brown discoloration of the skin around eyes is ascribed to bleeding under the skin that may not necessarily be in the eye but anywhere on the face. This involves moving the eyes in a circular motion in such a way that you hold your eyes for around 2 seconds in each of the four directions. Repeat it in sets of 5 to 10 times almost thrice in a day. This is a really effective therapy for black eye.

Now, that you know black eye wouldn’t go without completing its span plus / minus a week depending upon what treatmental procedure you adopted; it is always good and comforting to use pain killers in order to get rid of black eye associated pains and aches. Many over the counter analgesics are available commercially that you can use to relieve the pain. These include aspirin, acetaminophen and ibuprofen etc. However, if black eye is traced back to some underlying medical problem, you must seek proper medical assistance to avoid any further adverse manifestations.
